HOW PERSONAL POLICIES CAN HELP YOU FIGHT DECISION FATIGUE: In an often overwhelming world, this is a really insightful word of advice. “The power of personal policies is that they relieve you of exerting excess energy in making small choices. Personal policies minimize decision fatigue.”
I SEARCHED FOR THE KEY TO DISCIPLESHIP: Continuing our theme of discipleship which has been revisited several times this year, I enjoyed this article by Melissa Edgington. “Discipleship isn’t nice, crisp books or carefully planned mission trips. It’s something altogether more intimate, more demanding, and more sacrificial. And once I realized that the people around me were showing me how discipleship works, I started to see it everywhere.”
WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO PRAY ‘YOUR WILL BE DONE’?: Here is some help from Colin Smith on understanding both prayer and God's will: “If you are confused about the will of God you are not alone. One reason for the confusion is that we speak of God’s will in three different ways. Distinguishing between them will help to clear the confusion and enable us to pray ‘Your will be done,’ with greater meaning and understanding.”
STREAM THE LUTHER DOCUMENTARY FOR FREE: Throughout October you can stream an excellent documentary on the life of Martin Luther for free, courtesy of Ligonier Ministries. They’ve also got a study guide to go with it.
