Beyond Sight is the incredible true story of seventeen-year-old Brazilian surfer Derek Rabelo. Born amidst the beautiful city of Guarapari, Derek’s father prayed that his son would become a professional surfer. When on 25 May 1992 Derek was born blind, his prayers seemed unanswered. But with unwavering support from his family, Derek undertakes a grueling three-year journey of mental, physical and spiritual training, encountering some of the biggest names in the sport along the way.

Laird Hamilton, Kelly Slater and Rob Machado are all humbled by Derek’s passion and drive as he perseveres against the odds to live out his dream: to surf the legendary Pipeline.
